Meet Ashley
-Owner and Pet Care Specialist
With over 15 years of professional animal care experience, Ashley’s journey began in the Chicago suburbs, inspired by her childhood visits to Brookfield Zoo. Her passion for animals led her to earn a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Southern Illinois University in 2011. She has since worked as a Zookeeper at certified zoological institutions across Florida and Texas, specializing in the care and behavior training of a wide variety of species including primates, reptiles, small mammals, and free-flighted birds.
For the past 4 years, Ashley has been providing trusted pet sitting services across the Michiana area, caring for a wide range of pets and forming lasting bonds with families in the community. She feels incredibly blessed to be part of this area, making a difference in the lives of both pets and their people. Her goal is to bring peace of mind while you're away, treating your pets with the same care and attention she gives her own. Ashley is also certified in pet first aid, ensuring an added level of safety and professionalism. Her lifelong commitment to animals ensures that your pet sitting experience will be one you can rely on and trust.

Cassidy is excited to join Ashley and the team at Zoo at Home, where she looks forward to meeting and caring for your beloved pets!
A Granger native, Cassidy knows the area well and brings a deep-rooted love for animals to everything she does. At home, she shares life with five dogs, two ferrets, two tortoises—and her supportive husband.
Cassidy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and an Associate’s degree from Ashworth College. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician with extensive experience in animal care, ranging from cleaning kennels and walking dogs to administering medications. Her background includes working with a wide variety of species, including dogs, cats, exotic animals, pocket pets, and even some large animals.
With a warm, compassionate approach and a strong veterinary skill set, Cassidy is dedicated to treating every pet as if they were her own.

Drop-In Visits & Dog Walks
Whether you choose our 20, 30, or 1-hour sessions, these visits are perfect for midday walks, catering to your pet’s needs while you’re away at work. Specifically designed for puppies crated during the day, our skilled pet sitters provide essential potty breaks, playtime, and companionship to ensure your furry friend stays happy and healthy. Choose the duration that suits your schedule, and let us keep your pup content until you return home.

Overnight Care
Our dedicated pet sitter ensures your furry friends experience a night of peace and companionship in their own home. They’ll enjoy evening playtime, a cozy sleep environment, and personalized attention. With our overnight service, your pets will feel secure and cared for, allowing you to rest easy knowing they’re in good hands and your home is secure.
• 12 hours of continuous overnight care (Timing is flexible ex. 9pm-9am or 6pm-6am etc)
•Drop in visits can be added for an additional fee

Vacation Care Drop-Ins
Perfect for when you don't need an overnight sitter! This service is ideal for pets who are crated at bedtime or just don’t require round-the-clock attention. We offer flexible visit lengths—choose from 20, 30, or 60-minute drop-ins.
We recommend 3–4 visits per day, depending on your pet’s feeding schedule and how often they need potty breaks.
Imagine a caring sitter stopping by in the evening for a calming walk and some cozy attention before bedtime. Then, come morning, your pets are greeted with breakfast and a refreshing potty break to start the day right.

Cat Care Drop-Ins
Our feline-focused care ensures your beloved cat receives the attention and comfort they deserve in the familiarity of their own territory. Our experienced cat sitters visit your home to provide feeding, litter box maintenance, playtime, and affectionate companionship. Tailored to suit the unique needs of your cat, our service is perfect for short trips or extended vacations.

Behavior Consulting
Our tailored approach recognizes that each dog has its own personality and needs. We provide personalized behavior consultations that take into account your pet’s individual traits. The success of our recommendations hinges on the time and effort you invest in implementing them. By working collaboratively, we strive to enhance the relationship between you and your furry companion. Choose our Behavior Consulting service for a customized plan that respects your pet’s uniqueness, ensuring a harmonious and fulfilling experience for both you and your beloved dog.
Wedding Pet Attendant
Make your special day even more memorable by including your furry family member with the help of a dedicated Wedding Pet Attendant. Our professional pet attendant ensures your pet is cared for, comfortable, and photo-ready throughout your celebration. From walking them down the aisle to coordinating pet photos, handling potty breaks, and providing love and attention, we take the stress out of including your pet in your big day. Whether it’s for a few hours or the entire event, we tailor our services to meet your needs — so you can focus on saying “I do,” knowing your beloved companion is in safe and caring hands.

![In honor of Penny winning the 150th Westminster Dog Show, I couldn’t help but reflect on my own lifelong connection to incredible dogs—especially Dobermans.
When I was born, my parents had a Doberman, and they’ve always told me he was the most loyal dog. These photos are from 1987, and every time I see them, my heart melts. He would sleep under my crib, standing guard while I slept. If I cried or even stirred, he alerted my parents immediately. Protector, guardian, babysitter—he took his job very seriously.
Dobermans are truly special dogs. They’re known for their unwavering loyalty, intelligence, and deep bonds with their people. Often called “velcro dogs,” they thrive on being close to their family and are incredibly intuitive to human emotions. They’re confident, alert, and naturally protective—yet deeply affectionate with those they love. With proper training and socialization, they’re not just excellent working dogs, but loving, gentle family companions.
Watching Dobermans shine on a stage like Westminster feels extra meaningful when you’ve experienced that devotion firsthand. Penny’s win is such a beautiful reminder of the breed’s elegance, athleticism, and heart.]()
